CM - GLUCAN F.
The Beta 1,3 Glucan is known for
it's immuno-stimulation properties and bio-viability enhancement
effects. However, it is
non soluble in water.
The CM-glucan is soluble in
water, while the efficacy of
the Beta 1,3 Glucan remains the same. It makes it of higher bioavailability than the non soluble one.
For fish and shrimps feed we developed the
CM-Glucan F. It disolves slowly in the water, making it suitable to
be added to dry feed compounds, flakes, powders, etc.
U.S. Patents supporting thr
potency of Beta 1,3 Glucan:
No. 5,189,028:
COMPOSITION AND METHOD TO ENHANCE THE
EFFICACY
OF A FISH VACCINE AND TO STIMULATE THE IMMUNE SYSTEM OF FISH.
No. 5,401,727: PROCESS FOR
ENHANCING THE RESISTANCE OF
AQUATIC ANIMALS TO DISEASE.
No. 5,641,761: PREVENTIVE AGENT AGAINST
INFECTIOUS DISEASE
OF CRUSTACEA.
Activity of CM - GLUCAN:
Increase of life-span of
L-1210 leukemia bearing cells in mice
at a dose of 1450 mg / kg
( Kery V. et al., Int. J. Biochem., 22, p. 1203-1207, 1990 )
CM-Glucan potentias an
antibacterial effect on antibiotics
and has radioprotective effects
( Hovathova M., et al., Carbohydrate Polymers, 15, p. 79-87, 1991
)
Cyclophosphamide treated
mice exhibited less pronounced
immunoimpression and more rapid hematopietic recovery
when administered with CM-Glucan
( Wagnerova J., et al.,
Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology, 15, p. 227-242, 1993 )
